7 steps to fitness center profits

On Thursday, October 4th, 2012, I presented from 8:30am to 5:30pm in front of a bunch of fitness center owners.  I had 284 slides, 7 total steps and 3 BIG areas of focus.








That is the first word from each of the 7 steps.

What I will give you in this blog post is some information on the THREE areas of focus for my one day workshop on the 7 steps to profits.

1) How to get the phone to ring, door to swing, and inbox to ding more at your facility. 

-spend 5% or more of gross annual revenue on marketing.

-pound your message one, preferably two or more times per week using hangers, inserts, postcards, facebook, your website, and guerilla marketing.

- no bullet points listing your equipment

-FREE trial, OR paid trial.  That's it.  No dual offers.

2) Sell personal training.

-No independent contractors.  ALL employees.

-ONE who can sell.  This person is called the assessor.  They sell and write programs.

-60% or more of your members get an assessment.

3) Get the most out of your team and yourself.

-Learn about personalities, therefore learn more about effective communication based on individual personality.  This is my way of saying that you should get "certified" as a People Plus+ Fitness assessor.   I am now qualified to do this.  This can be done in person, OR in the near future through www.jasonlinse.com  It is fun, extremely beneficial, and does not cost much. 

So, the workshop was a success, everybody learned a lot, and I video taped it all.  Look for clips on www.jasonlinse.com in the near future.

AND, for those of you who missed it, I am 78.7% sure I am going to do another one in Minneapolis in December.  The exact same format, the exact same place.  BUT I am going to cap it to a very small group.  Look for info on www.jasonlinse.com soon.
