Workshops, clients, gyms, and laziness

I hosted a one day workshop last week in Minneapolis.  I taught the 7 steps to GIGANTIC gym profits to a great group of gym owners.  I taught the same workshop back in October.  While the attendance between the two was not much different, the types of gyms were.  This most recent workshop saw about a 200% increase in training gyms in attendance.

I will be spending a full day with 4 gym owners and their staff tomorrow.  Two guys have two clubs, and the other two guys have two clubs.  Four gyms total.  With employees, there will be about 16 people in the conference room.

Each of these clubs has been open for a few years and each of them is part of a franchise system.

Each of these clubs turns a decent to really good profit every year.

Why are they paying me to teach them the 7 simple steps to GIGANTIC gym profits?

We all like success stories

I have a lot of clients who have seen a lot of great things after working with me.  I don’t write about them much because I don’t like to come across as boastful.  But at the same time, I have some evidence that suggests my readers enjoy reading about other gyms and what they are doing, and how well they are doing it.

One of my clients started the assessor sales system on Wednesday.  Just two days ago.  The assessor did 10 assessments over those first two day.

7 steps to fitness center profits

On Thursday, October 4th, 2012, I presented from 8:30am to 5:30pm in front of a bunch of fitness center owners.  I had 284 slides, 7 total steps and 3 BIG areas of focus.

Create

Master

Give

Ask

Understand

Market

Maximize

That is the first word from each of the 7 steps.

That's what she said

Okay, so here's the deal:  I love the fact that people read my blog posts.  I am discouraged a bit, by the fact that I receive very little feedback.  There is a comment section and my email is This email address is being protected from spambots. Vegas Baby!

Last year, I had a client in Southern Utah hire me for an onsite visit once per month for 4 consecutive months.  This fitness center was much closer to the airport in Las Vegas than the one in Salt Lake City.  I would finish my work on a Thursday evening, make the 2.5 hour drive to Las Vegas and fly out the next morning.  This allowed me to spend one night on the strip.  By myself.
