I can do it on my own.

If you own a small fitness center, whether it’s part of a franchise system or not, AND you sell less than 12K per month in PT, you aren’t reaching your potential.  I have been in an around dozens and dozens of 3000 square foot fitness centers in the past 7 or so years.  I rarely see a member working out with a Personal Trainer/Fitness Professional.  And sometimes, when I think I am seeing it, turns out it’s a friend training a friend.

Leaving Las Vegas

If you own a Snap Fitness, you should be in Las Vegas this week.  It is the 2nd annual Snap Fitness Convention.  I encourage owners of Snaps to attend.  Why? Well, first it’s in Las Vegas.  Even if you don’t learn anything, you can at least gamble and party with other snap owners.

49 or 9

If you believe what many fitness industry analysts are predicting, you have two roads to go down if you own a fitness center NOT in a town of 5000 people or less: Charge 49 bucks per month or more and focus on service, group fitness and socialability, OR charge 9 dollars per month and not worry about service or much else.
